Churchill Downs Turn 1 Project

Advance Ready Mix is proud to announce their participation in phase one of The Churchill Downs Turn 1 Project! This new 156 room, 7-story hotel will include suites, a second floor party deck to watch the races and even a 27,000 square foot ballroom with amazing views of the track. The construction is taking place on the south side of the track along turn 1. This hotel will also include a 900-machines-state-of-the-art HRM gaming floor, multiple dining venues and many different bars throughout. Along with this, there will also be around 4,700 permanent, covered seats that will replace the grandstrand seating that has been there for years.

Partnering with Calhoun Construction Services, Inc. and F. A. Wilhelm Construction, Advance Ready Mix hit the ground running on this project and has not let up. Starting in the middle of February, Advance has supplied over 5,000 cubic yards of concrete for foundations in less than a month and a half. In total, there will be about 20,000 cubic yards of concrete in this $300 million dollar project!
